    Made the lemon bars for a friend's BBQ and they were a huge hit! I kept about a third of the batch for myself and am freezing them for special occasion cheat days down the line. Now that I know what the baseline recipe tastes like, I'm going to try and make a low-carb version; shouldn't be too hard to sub ingredients but we'll see how close they come to the originals.

    I've made these before, and they turned out amazing. I made them again today, but decided to double the recipe. They were fine, but I needed a lot more flour. I weighed everything, so I know my measurements were accurate. Maybe I shouldn't have doubled the water? I dont know, but the dough was far too wet with just double the flour.

    The audio is so weird. It's like it's been dubbed, but it's obvious it hasn't been. Your voice isn't coming across as being in the room, which makes it weird to watch and listen to. On the plus side, however, I find your instruction to be extremely good. You thoroughly explain every step and I have no doubt that I could make these with no issues.     I tried this recipe. The texture is great, but it's too sweet (I only put 155g of sugar in total, and I didn't add salt on the top of the cookies. I will try with even less sugar).

    I really liked how these turned out and the flavor is fantastic. 4 large lemons only netted me about 70% of the lemon juice needed, so I took a chance and added the rest with bottled Aldi lemon juice (which contains preserving agents). This did not affect the end product!

    What works for me for table spoons is the box with four sticks of butter each stick has markings for cutting at a table spoon and each 1/4 pound stick has eight marks plus markings for specific sizes which is useful.

    Ooh, those look nice! My current lemon bar recipe has flour/butter/sugar for the crust and eggs/sugar/baking powder/lemon juice for the filling, which kind of crisps up so that the powdered sugar will stay as a powder. Definitely adding lemon zest and maybe turmeric (the crust is pretty light, so a darker color might be too intense). And also trying this version; I'm curious to see how the butter affects the filling!
